This lovely original Basque-farmhouse was saved from demolition in 1980. It dates from as far as the 16th/17th century and was restored inside and outside with lots of patience, respecting the typical architectural characteristics.

The owner wants to open this traditional Basque habitat to the public in a way that one can admire the advantages of such a style of architecture and be reminded of the way our ancestors lived. A beautiful house is not complete without it's interior decoration, therefore lots of time and love was invested to recreate an atmosphere and ambiance of the old days using traditional furniture and daily objects of the past.
Nevertheless, it is not our intention to turn this farmhouse into a museum but through a visit you can feel in each room how people used to live.
